About Footsteps

footanim1.gifOctober’s Blackstone River Valley “Footsteps in History” Program highlights the historic and cultural attributes of the Blackstone River Valley by providing a month long celebration of the historic, cultural and artistic sites. Programs, activities, and open houses provide the opportunity for the public to enjoy and learn. This event will involve the 24 communities located in the Blackstone River Valley.

Based on the Preserve America designation awarded to each city and town within the Valley in June 2004, the Tourism Collaborative is directly linked to this federal program. The Preserve America program is a White House initiative that encourages and supports community efforts for the preservation and enjoyment of its precious natural and cultural heritage.

Stay tuned to this web site for a list of all the sites and events that will take place during this month long event.
